Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs – 1 to 6 months with an experienced entrepreneur abroad

Single Market Programme

Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή – EISMEA, μέσω τοπικών σημείων επαφής (European Commission – EISMEA, via local contact points)

In plain words

If you are starting a business or have less than 3 years' experience as an entrepreneur, you can spend 1 to 6 months working with an experienced entrepreneur in another country. The EU pays €600–€1,200 a month towards travel and living costs, depending on the country. It does not cover everything and you need a full business plan.

Who can apply

New entrepreneurs of any age (over 18) permanently resident in an EU or programme country who firmly plan to start a business or have less than 3 years' total entrepreneurial experience. Each person can take part once.

What it pays for

A fixed monthly amount for travel and living costs while abroad, e.g. €900 in Germany or Spain, €950 in France, €1,000 in Italy, €1,100 in Ireland, €1,200 in Denmark or the USA (and €1,200 for people with disabilities). It is paid by the local contact point you choose.
