DYPA resources · Active labour market policies

Δημόσια Υπηρεσία Απασχόλησης – ΔΥΠΑ, Υπουργείο Εργασίας και Κοινωνικής Ασφάλισης (Public Employment Service DYPA, Ministry of Labour and Social Security)

In plain words

If your business is in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and you hire a local unemployed person aged 18+ full-time, DYPA pays up to €875 a month for 12 months (70% of the cost under de minimis or 50% under the EU block exemption rules) — up to €10,500 per job. Applications have been open since March 2026 until the 2,000 places are filled, so don't wait.

Who can apply

Private businesses and employers with regular activity in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace that create a new full-time job for an unemployed person aged 18+ registered with DYPA in the region. Primary-sector businesses (e.g. farms) can only join under the EU General Block Exemption Regulation (GBER).

What it pays for

Wage and employer-contribution subsidy for 12 months. Under de minimis: 70% of the cost, up to €875 a month (up to €10,500 per job). Under GBER: 50% of the cost, up to €875 a month, for disadvantaged or severely disadvantaged people (e.g. no regular paid job in the last 6 months, aged 18–24, over 50, no upper-secondary diploma).
