An €8m scheme in Eastern Macedonia & Thrace for investments in 'critical technologies' under the EU STEP platform (digital and deep tech, clean tech, biotech). Planned for November 2026 – January 2027 and open to businesses of any size, including start-ups. Terms have not been announced.

Who can apply

Existing and start-up businesses of any size (including large), business consortia for R&D, and public universities/research centres doing applied research in STEP fields, in Eastern Macedonia & Thrace.

What it pays for

Investments to develop or manufacture STEP (Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform) critical technologies — eligible costs, amounts and rates will be set in the call.

What must be true for you

How to apply

  2. Check whether your technology/product falls under the STEP fields.
  3. Prepare an investment plan, technical description, quotes and financials.
  4. When it opens, apply on the platform named in the call. ESPA 2021-2027 state-aid calls are normally submitted on OPSKE (app.opske.gr) — to be confirmed by the call.
