If you hire an unemployed woman, DYPA pays 70% of wages and contributions for 12 months — 80% if she is the mother of a child up to 15, long-term unemployed, or the job is part-time. The subsidy can be extended by 3 months. Places are limited, so apply early.

Who can apply

Private businesses and employers anywhere in Greece with regular activity, hiring unemployed women aged 18+ registered with DYPA.

What it pays for

Part of the wage and non-wage cost. Full-time: 70% up to €879.20/month (€10,550.40 a year) or 80% up to €1,004.80/month (€12,057.60) for mothers of a child up to 15 and long-term unemployed women. Part-time: 80% up to €680/month (€8,160). With the 3-month extension the total reaches up to €15,072 per job.

How to apply

  1. Read the public call on dypa.gov.gr
  2. Log in to the gov.gr employer-participation service with TaxisNet credentials
  3. Register the vacancy (specialty, full- or part-time)
  4. DYPA refers candidates; choose and hire
  5. Follow DYPA's procedure to receive the subsidy

Deadline

Applications since 16 Jan 2026 until the places are filled. On 1 Oct 2026 the Labour Ministry announced 5,000 extra full-time places.

Sources we read

Research notes: Launched 16/01/2026 by ministerial decision: 10,000 places (5,000 full-time, 5,000 part-time), budget €101,813,625 from DYPA resources. 01/10/2026 Ministry release: being extended with 5,000 more full-time places (how they will be offered not yet published). A 10/09/2026 press report lists it as still running. Remaining places unknown. DYPA's programme page (prosvasis.dypa.gov.gr) still shows 'Ανοιχτό πρόγραμμα' on 17/10/2026 and confirms the monthly amounts; no call has been published yet for the 5,000 extra places. Amounts are per job: min = part-time 12 months, max = full-time 80% with 3-month extension.
