Planned: start-up grants for unemployed and precariously employed people in the Peloponnese

The Peloponnese Region is preparing a €2.3 million call for unemployed people and workers in insecure jobs who want to start their own business in the Peloponnese. It is scheduled to open from October 2026; amounts and rules will appear in the call.

Who can apply

Unemployed people (including long-term unemployed) and employees in financial and job insecurity who will start a new business (self-employed or as a company) in the Peloponnese Region.

What it pays for

Eligible costs will be set in the call. June 2026 press reports mention both start-up investment and running costs of the new business — not yet officially confirmed.

2. Gather papers on your work status (e.g. DYPA unemployment certificate or employment contracts).
3. Sketch your business plan: activity, premises, start-up costs.
4. Do not register the business or spend money before reading the call — schemes like this usually require the business to be set up after applying.
5. When the call is out, apply on the platform it names.

The official call programming (31/08/2026) places the call between October 2026 and January 2027. Not issued as of 17/10/2026.
